Orthodox tea refers to either hand-processed tea or tea that is rolled with machinery in a manner that mimics hand-rolling. Most specialty tea is made with orthodox production methods. All whole-leaf tea is made with orthodoxproduction methods.
This tea comes from the Mount Kenya region, high in theaflavins, which are antioxidant polyphenols that are formed during the oxidation process when the leaves are being rolled. A delicious and unique flavour.
